Job Summary
Generator Service Technician needed to maintain, troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and test 5 kW–4000 kW generator systems; interact with customers; read and apply technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics; operate heavy equipment and cranes; flexible to work varied shifts including weekends and on-call rotations with occasional travel; strong mechanical and electrical aptitude and willingness to learn new technologies.
Required Qualifications
- Mechanical and electrical aptitude
- experience in mechanical and electrical fields, particularly with diesel generators
- Technical schooling, automotive or transportation fields, commercial, residential electric and or like military experience a plus
- Willingness to learn and use new technologies
- Certified Journeyman Electrician a plus but not required
