Job Summary
Generator Technician position with Energy Systems performing mechanical and electrical troubleshooting and repair of Generac emergency power generators. Responsibilities include after-hours and on-call repairs, preventative maintenance, reading manuals and schematics, identifying faulty operations and reporting findings to the service manager, commissioning equipment, and ensuring compliance with NFPA and state regulations. Strong ability to create detailed reports within 24 hours, communicate findings by phone, email, or in person, and work with minimal supervision. Requires lifting up to 50 lbs unassisted and up to 100 lbs with assistance; may require DOT Medical Card and driving a heavy-duty truck. Desirable knowledge includes diesel/gaseous engines, transfer switches, and various EPSS components. Competitive, safety-conscious team player with good communication and problem-solving skills.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- Valid Driver License
- 4 years servicing and troubleshooting of Emergency Power Supply Systems (EPSS)
