Job Summary
Generator Technician position for a role within Minnesota, with remote work and regional travel. Responsible for servicing, repairing, modifying, and diagnosing standby power generators, conducting PMs and load bank tests, maintaining ATSs, and servicing a variety of brands (Kohler, Cummins, MTU, Generac, CAT, etc.). Requires experience with standby generators up to 100 kW, ability to work independently in the field, own or obtain tools, strong English skills, and willingness to obtain necessary certifications. Travel across the region, potential OT and weekend work, and operation of company service truck and parts inventory are included. Training and company culture emphasize safety, respect, and empowerment; referral program offered.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working on standby generators and related equipment up to 100 kW
- Able to conduct a load bank test and perform full PMs
- Experience working on ATSs and other electrical equipment
- Able to work OT and on weekends when necessary
- Natural gas and/or diesel engine knowledge
- Must have own tools, or ability to obtain tools
- Strong written and verbal English skills
- Self-starter and ability to work independently in the field
- Successfully able to obtain certifications
