Generator & Switchgear Coimissioning Field Engineer

Job Summary
Oversee on-site commissioning of generator and switchgear systems at field locations, including pre-commissioning inspections, functional tests, and performance verifications. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during commissioning and startup, coordinate with project teams, clients, and subcontractors to ensure smooth project execution, and prepare detailed commissioning reports and documentation. Ensure compliance with electrical codes, safety regulations, and company policies. Provide technical support and training to customers and site personnel.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field, or equivalent technical experience
- Proven experience in generator and switchgear commissioning in field environments
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, protective relays, and control systems
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and technical documents
- Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Willingness to travel extensively to project sites, up to 75%
- Familiarity with safety standards and procedures in electrical commissioning
