Job Summary
Diagnose and repair Generac standby power systems; service and maintain home generators for customers in the surrounding area. Travel to customer residences using a company vehicle to perform repair work and preventative maintenance, read and interpret technical manuals, electrical diagrams, and blueprints, and document services in the electronic software system while adhering to safety practices. Responsibilities include inspecting, troubleshooting, and repairing generators, communicating with customers about arrival and work performed, and completing paperwork for completed maintenance.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license
- Experience with mechanical small engine repair
- Experience with electrical wiring
- Ability to read technical manuals, diagrams, and blueprints
- Strong customer service and communication skills (verbal and written)
- Ability to drive company vehicles safely to each customer’s residence within and surrounding area/job site
