Job Summary
Assist lead technicians with the installation of standby and backup generator systems, including routing gas lines and mounting units. Help with electrical wiring, conduit runs, transfer switches, and control connections under supervision. Perform routine upkeep such as oil changes, filter replacements, and battery checks; assist in troubleshooting and repairing system issues. Load, unload, and organize tools and materials; ensure the job site remains clean, safe, and hazard-free. Support the startup and commissioning process to ensure equipment is running at peak performance. Communicate clearly and respectfully with customers and maintain high-quality job specifications.
Required Qualifications
- Previous experience as generator helper or in a similar mechanical/construction role is preferred
- Basic knowledge of electrical systems, generator components, or small engine repair
- A disciplined professional who is motivated to learn and shows up ready to work in a team environment
- A professional appearance and a commitment to providing excellent service to our Wisconsin neighbors
