Generator Field Technician

Job Summary
Senior/Master Generator Technician duties include supervising and directing field service technicians within geographic territory, coaching and developing technicians, coordinating field support, recruiting and hiring, serving as first point of contact for troubleshooting and emergency repairs, performing preventive and corrective maintenance on generators and related equipment (including Bypass Isolation ATS), conducting pre-startup site visits, leading safety initiatives, implementing QC procedures, reviewing work orders, driving continuous improvement of field operations, providing customer-focused support, planning and quoting complex service projects, and assisting with warranty administration. Requires hands-on generator expertise, strong leadership, customer service skills, and the ability to manage a team of technicians; overnight travel may be required; this role is remote-work capable with a home office arrangement while located in or around Miami, FL.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Generac Master Technician or equivalent certification and training is required
- High level of expertise with switchgear
- Fluency in written and spoken English
- Ability to manage a team of technicians
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and procedure manuals
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
- Strong organizational, computer, and communication skills
- Overnight travel may be required
