Generator Field Technician

Job Summary
Senior/Master Generator Technician leadership role supervising field technicians across geographic territory. Responsible for training and directing technicians in startup, service, and repair of industrial generators and related equipment (including Bypass Isolation ATS). Responsibilities include evaluating performance, coaching, recruiting, safety oversight, quality control, and coordinating with Service Director. Requires hands-on technical expertise in switchgear, preventive and emergency maintenance, troubleshooting, and customer-focused support, with after-hours emergency response and occasional overnight travel. Strong leadership, communication, and documentation skills; proficiency in Microsoft Office; fluency in English.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Generac Master Technician or equivalent certification and training is required
- Fluency in written and spoken English
- Ability to manage a team of technicians
- Strong organizational, computer, and communication skills
- Overnight travel may be required
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and procedure manuals
- Excellent customer service skills
