Job Summary
Electrical Power Generation Field Technician II provides high-quality repair service on power-generation equipment, diagnosing and repairing engines and machinery on site, generating service reports and oil samples, and following CSA, Caterpillar, and MSHA safety guidelines. The role requires performing inspections, troubleshooting, recommending repairs, and completing documentation with dispatchers within 24–48 hours; travel up to 30% is possible, with a focus on safety-sensitive field service and adherence to DOT and arc-flash training requirements. Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED (AA preferred), and a CDL within 90 days, with applicable certifications (MSHA, H2S, lock-out/tag-out) and completion of EPG Level I training. The position is based in Oklahoma City, OK, and is on-site with normal travel and overtime expectations.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED; and/or three to five years related experience and/or training
- Preferably AA in Applied Diesel Technology
- Clean driving record and require CDL license within 90days
- DOT physical may be required
- H2s, MSHA and lock-out /tag-out certified as required
- Must complete all EPG Level I training and/or demonstrated performance
- Complete certification of arc flash training
- Will be certified prior to operating a forklift and/or man lift
- Normally we would expect an employee to be at this level for 24 – 48 months
- Need to work required overtime
- May be required to pass DOT physical
- Successfully complete Work steps assessment
