Job Summary
The Generator Field Service Technician provides on-site troubleshooting, repair, warranty/campaign service, preventative maintenance, and equipment modifications for Generac industrial products, requiring 100% travel. Candidates must have a working knowledge of mechanical design, AC and DC circuitry, power generation, and excellent troubleshooting skills. Experience includes 3-4 years in servicing Emergency Power Supply Systems (EPSS) along with Generac Industrial certification. The position also requires load bank loading and towing certifications and the ability to work in adverse weather conditions.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- 3-4 years servicing and troubleshooting Emergency Power Supply Systems (EPSS)
- Generac Industrial certification and related maintenance, startup and troubleshooting competencies
- Load bank loading and towing and related certifications
Desired Qualifications
- Associates Degree in Marine, Ag, Construction, Automotive technical programs, or Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
- 6 years servicing and troubleshooting Emergency Power Supply Systems (EPSS)
Additional Requirements
- Random Drug/other testing may be required to meet customer site access requirements
- Strict adherence to Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) while working in the field
