Job Summary
As a Generator Data Center Commissioning Technician, you will ensure the successful installation, testing, and commissioning of generator systems within data center environments. Key responsibilities include conducting functional and performance testing, verifying system performance, reviewing technical drawings, collaborating with various teams to resolve issues, and ensuring compliance with safety standards. Ideal candidates will possess a strong mechanical and electrical aptitude with at least 3 years of experience in the field, along with the ability to read technical documents and use diagnostic tools.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 3+ years in generator systems, power distribution, or data center commissioning preferred
- Familiarity with diesel and gas generator systems, load banks, and control systems
- Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical systems
- Ability to read and interpret technical documentation
- Proficient in using diagnostic tools and commissioning software
- Ability to work in data center environments and outdoors as needed
- Lift up to 50 lbs. and perform tasks requiring standing, bending, and climbing
- Willingness to travel to project sites as required
Desired Qualifications
- NFPA 70E, OSHA safety training, or manufacturer-specific generator certifications
