Job Summary
Generate book illustrations using AI image tools, create consistent character designs across titles, and produce background art and visual effects meeting Pixar-quality standards. Develop AI-generated video content for social media and marketing, then iterate quickly based on feedback from the creative team and customer response. Build repeatable prompting systems, establish style guides, and document workflows to scale production. Stay current on emerging technologies like AI video and animation to identify opportunities for improving speed and quality.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years working extensively with Midjourney, DALL-E, ChatGPT, NanoBanana, SORA and other AI image and video generation tools
- Portfolio demonstrating consistent style/character work using AI tools
- Deep understanding of detailed, elaborate prompt engineering and AI model capabilities
- Ability to work fast and iterate based on feedback
- Self-directed—you can figure things out without constant guidance
Desired Qualifications
- Experience creating content for children or family audiences (preferred)
- Experience with AI video tools (Runway, Pika, Sora)
- Background in illustration, graphic design, or animation
- Experience with production pipelines and asset management
- Familiarity with print production requirements
- Understanding of children's book illustration conventions
- Expert-level proficiency with most current image models
- Experience with AI video generation platforms
- Comfortable with image editing tools like Figma
- Ability to work with style references and maintain brand consistency
- Understanding of file preparation for print production
