Job Summary
Coordinate the integration of generation and energy storage resources from initial application through commercial operations approval. Perform security screening studies, review and approve Full Interconnection Study scope and reports, and validate compliance with ERCOT protocols and market rules. Develop modeling data for all interconnection phases, support Network Model Management System modeling, and review commissioning plans, synchronization checklists, and testing data. Manage interconnection projects while maintaining system reliability and NERC standards, working closely with market participants and internal departments to resolve issues. Develop automation tools, provide training to junior engineers, and draft improvements to interconnection processes and protocols.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field(s)
- Minimum 1 to 2 years of progressively responsible experience as a power system engineer or similar type role (for Engineer 2 level)
- Minimum 3 years of progressively responsible experience as a power system engineer or similar type role (for Engineer 3 level)
- Minimum 5 years related work experience in excess of degree requirements (for Senior Engineer level)
- Equivalent knowledge to a major in such fields provided by a combination of education and experience
