Job Summary
Support the HR team and Director of HR in implementing strategies for the Operations business unit while serving as the focal point for line management and employees. Source talent, coordinate interviews, and conduct initial screenings to build a candidate pipeline and fill open requisitions. Extend employment offers, negotiate terms, and administer attendance and benefits policies. Facilitate new employee orientation, answer benefit inquiries, and assist with temporary staffing coordination. Enter data for applicant tracking, affirmative action plans, and performance evaluations. Actively participate in labor forecasting meetings and ensure compliance with federal and state employment laws. Ensure presence in assigned locations, including plants where PPE is required, to support HR needs across all shifts.
Required Qualifications
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, including knowledge of EEO, ADA and FMLA
- Knowledge of applicable Equal Employment Opportunity laws and regulations, personnel policies and procedures
- Experience working with HRIS and timekeeping systems
- Must possess excellent verbal and written communications and interpersonal skills
- Bachelor's degree in human resources or business related field
- Minimum two years progressive Human Resource Generalist experience, including a variety of HR administrative functions
- Must have experience in related recruitment activities (i.e., resume review and candidate selection, interviewing, employment screening)
Desired Qualifications
- Kronos experience a plus
- SHRM Certification preferred
