Job Summary
HR Generalist at Dreyer’s Grand Ice Cream (FrOnce again Dreyer’s) providing HR support to all salaried and hourly employees and management across facility functions. Under the HR Manager, oversees recruitment, employee development, employee relations/labor relations, policy/contract interpretation, compensation administration and legal compliance. Responsibilities include executing workforce planning and recruitment, organizing training and development programs, defining candidate profiles, maintaining equitable compensation, driving performance and talent management, fostering effective employee relations, and supporting employee engagement and safety initiatives. Requires a BA/BS in HR or related field, 3+ years of HR Generalist experience in manufacturing environments, strong communication and analytical skills, proficiency with MS Office and HRIS, ability to work with all levels of staff, and willingness to cover off-shift hours; able to handle high-noise, wet/humid environments and allergens exposure. The role is on-site with specific shift hours noted.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s (BA or BS) in Human Resource Management or related field
- 3 years (or more) experience in a HR Generalist or Representative role in a Manufacturing Plant, Distribution Center, Sales or DSD environment
- Change management experience - implementation of a change project within a non-corporate setting (i.e. such as implementing the new service or benefit concept to employees)
- Human Resource experience should include familiarity with and experience in recruitment, employee relations and employee communications
- Must have knowledge of basic HR laws and applications
- Employee relations/coaching and performance management experience
- Must possess good presentation and training skills
- Must be able to work with all levels of employees and management within the organization and offer off shift coverage and work extended hours
- The position involves exposure to nuts and other potential allergens
