Job Summary
Generalist Engineer on the Interactive team contributing across gameplay, systems, UI, tools, and/or performance as project needs dictate. Work closely with designers, artists, and other engineers to implement features and iterate quickly. Write clean, maintainable C++ code within an Unreal Engine codebase. Identify and resolve bugs, performance bottlenecks, and technical debt. Participate in planning, code reviews, and technical discussions. Adapt to evolving priorities with a solutions-oriented mindset. Requires 3-6 years of game development engineering experience and relocation openness; role is based in Raleigh, NC with in-person collaboration and applicants must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.
Required Qualifications
- 3-6 years of experience in game development engineering across one or more disciplines.
- Solid programming skills in C++, with practical experience in Unreal Engine (UE4 and/or UE5).
- Experience contributing to multiple areas of a game project (e.g., gameplay, UI, tools, systems, or performance).
- Comfort working in an iterative, team-oriented development environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and an eagerness to learn new systems and technologies.
- Clear communication skills and a collaborative working style.
