Job Summary
Operates material handling equipment to move inventory within a distribution center and works across multiple departments, including case pick, shipping, receiving, returns, loading, order processing, and replenishment. Verifies quantity and quality of incoming products, attends to staging and loading orders into trucks for customer delivery, builds and wraps pallets, and maintains inventory accuracy. Inspects stock for wear/defects and notifies management of issues; returns misplaced items to proper storage; maintains a clean, safe work environment per safety policies; may perform inventory control functions. Requires HS diploma or GED (strongly preferred) and typically 2-5 years of experience; capable of lifting up to 50 pounds; comfortable working in a distribution-center setting with exposure to moving machinery, loud noises, and temperature extremes. Demonstrates ability to understand packing list information, locate and deliver products, and support overall warehouse operations.
Required Qualifications
- HS Diploma or GED strongly preferred
- 2-5 years of experience in area of responsibility
- Specialized skills training/certification may be required
- Experience operating material handling equipment
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- ability to perform repetitive movements (10-key, bending, squatting)
- Knowledge of packing list information and pallet building
