Job Summary
General Utility-Pack, 1st Shift is an entry-level general labor role in a food manufacturing environment. Responsibilities include loading/unloading and moving materials, assisting with operation setup lines, verifying equipment setup and running to meet specifications, inspecting products, troubleshooting with the operator, performing operator functions when needed, maintaining a clean area, following safety procedures including lockout/tag-out and GMPs, communicating issues to management, and supporting coworkers as needed. Requires lifting up to 50 lbs, ability to read English, and proficiency with Microsoft Office; prior manufacturing/OSHA-safe practices experience is preferred. Role offers overtime eligibility and a comprehensive benefits package.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- 0-1 years of related experience preferred
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work at machine speed
- Ability to understand written English preferred
- Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Follow Safety lockout/tag-out procedures
- Understand and follow GMP’s
- Work in a safe manner and report unsafe conditions
- Assist with operation setup lines and area according to procedures
- Inspect product to verify specifications
- Troubleshoot equipment with operator assistance
- Perform other duties as assigned
