Job Summary
General Utility & Forklift Operator role based in Merlin Reload Facility. Responsibilities include operating gas and diesel forklifts to unload/load lumber, plywood, and LVL products onto various transport modes, assisting with organization/staging of inventory, performing daily equipment inspections, ensuring safety and PPE compliance, communicating with drivers and supervisors, and supporting yard operations in outdoor conditions. Requires forklift experience and ability to work in outdoor environments; emphasizes safety, teamwork, and adaptability to production needs.
Required Qualifications
- Prior forklift operation experience required
- log yard, mill, or industrial setting preferred
- Understanding of basic wood products handling procedures
- Familiarity with safety standards related to forklift use and warehouse operations
- Ability to work in outdoor environments and handle physically demanding tasks
- Dependable, team-oriented, and willing to support various yard functions as needed
- Valid driver’s license
