Job Summary
Conduct high-quality diagnostic ultrasound examinations including abdominal, renal, pelvic, and soft tissue imaging in accordance with established protocols. Perform vascular studies such as carotid Doppler and aorta ultrasound where applicable, while receiving specialized training in Transcranial Doppler and Fibroscan. Prepare and position patients for optimal imaging results, review images for diagnostic quality before submission, and maintain accurate patient records. Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams to provide timely diagnostic information while adhering to safety, infection control, and HIPAA regulations. Work 8-hour shifts Monday through Friday with weekends as needed in Newark, NJ.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program
- ARDMS or CCI certification in one or more of the following: Abdomen, OB/GYN, RDCS, RCS, RVT
Desired Qualifications
- Prior experience in general ultrasound, pelvic imaging, and soft tissue ultrasound
- Experience in vascular ultrasound (carotid, arterial, venous, renal Doppler)
- Strong knowledge of ultrasound physics, anatomy, and pathology
- Ability to work independently while maintaining efficiency in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to recognize subtle abnormalities in imaging
- Willingness to learn new imaging techniques (Fibroscan, TCD) and expand professional expertise
- Weekends as needed
