Job Summary
General Trades Technician responsible for general maintenance and repairs across electrical, HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and related building systems. Performs routine and preventive maintenance, responds to service requests (electrical, furnaces, lighting, HVAC, appliances, water heaters, plumbing fixtures), follows safety procedures, reads blueprints/plans, operates CMMS to log work orders, and may assist in emergency maintenance. Requires on-call availability, ability to work in various weather conditions, and a valid driver’s license; may mentor other technicians and ensure safety standards are met.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- 1-3 years experience in building repairs and maintenance
- General knowledge of electrical, HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, and general building maintenance
- Willing and able to work occasional on-call shifts
- DL Number - Driver's License, Valid and in State required
- EPA 608 Certification preferred
- Skilled Trade Certification preferred
- Computer proficiency
- Ability to read blueprints/plans/drawings
