Job Summary
Operate show direction via Avolites lighting consoles, QLab/Timecode, and Hippo Media Server while delivering technical support for Potters Theatre Company evening shows and resort functions. Set up equipment across multiple resort locations, assist with loading gear to and from the theatre, and provide day and night technical assistance under pressure. Work full-time, 40 hours per week, five days out of seven, including weekends and bank holidays. Requires proven experience with lighting, sound, and video equipment, plus an understanding of safe stage environments. Required Qualifications
- Proven experience of working within a similar role
- Experience of operating lighting, sound and video equipment
- Good understanding of working safely within a Theatre/stage environment
- Organised, efficient and proactive
- The ability to work under pressure and to make quick thought through decisions
- Operating Avolites lighting consoles
- Knowledge of QLab/Timecode operation
- Operation of Hippo Media Server
- The ability to operate a show as directed by the show director/Technical Manager
- Setting up equipment in different areas/locations on Resort for various events
- Providing technical assistance on Resort during functions both day and night
- Assisting in loading equipment to and from the theatre
- Learning new skills in lighting, sound, vision and stage
- Knowledge of digital audio (DiGiCo /Allen & Heath audio console experience advantageous)
Desired Qualifications
- Basic bench work skills including soldering (beneficial but not essential)
