Job Summary
Perform diagnostics, repairs, and preventive maintenance on refrigeration units and commercial kitchen appliances including ovens, fryers, and extraction systems. Execute scheduled maintenance routines, document interventions, and manage spare parts procurement to maintain stock levels. Identify electrical faults on 230/400 V circuits, replace components, and coordinate with external specialists for complex interventions. Provide immediate response to breakdowns to minimize downtime in kitchen operations while adhering to HACCP, fire safety, and electrical safety protocols. This role supports the luxury hospitality environment at Costaterra Golf & Ocean Club in Comporta, Portugal, within the Discovery Land Company portfolio.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3–5 years' experience in commercial kitchens, hospitality, industrial refrigeration, or facility maintenance
- Proven experience in diagnostics, repairs, and preventive maintenance
- Experience working in high‐demand operational environments (hotels, restaurants, resorts)
- Electrical safety awareness
- Hygiene & food safety awareness — understanding of HACCP implications for kitchen equipment
- Fire safety awareness — basic understanding of SCIE interactions with kitchen systems
