Job Summary
Inspects, diagnoses and repairs diesel-powered vehicles and machines including trucks and heavy equipment. Performs repairs on diesel engines, DPF systems, automatic transmissions, air brake systems, differentials and hydraulics; conducts complete vehicle inspections; communicates with shop leadership for repair details and parts requests; maintains clean and safe work area; adheres to OSHA safety procedures; travel to field sites as needed. Requires diagnostic-tool proficiency (JPRO, DAVIE4, Cummins INSITE, Service Ranger), ability to work in varied outdoor environments, and flexibility to work changing schedules. ASE certification is a plus.
Required Qualifications
- At least 1 year of experience with diesel engines.
- Experience with modern diesel engines, DPF systems, and automatic transmissions.
- Experience with hydraulic systems.
- Own his small and basic tools.
- Experience with diagnostic tools and software is a plus (JPRO, DAVIE4, CUMMINGS INSITE, SERVICE RANGER).
- ASE Certification is a plus.
- Follow thoroughly the safety rules and procedures.
- Ability to work a changing schedule based on demand.
- Must be able to work on the field when required.
