First assist in the operating room during general surgical procedures, conduct patient evaluations, and manage inpatient surgical patients including admissions, consultations, and daily rounds. Perform preoperative evaluations, postoperative follow-up visits, and bedside procedures within scope of practice. Order and interpret laboratory tests and imaging studies, develop treatment plans with supervising surgeons, and provide patient education regarding recovery expectations. Maintain accurate EHR documentation and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated care.
