Job Summary
Provide general surgery services with 24-hour call coverage in an operating room setting, maintaining continuous availability for both scheduled and emergent surgical needs. Perform general surgery procedures, manage surgical consultations, and adhere to a 1:4 call ratio schedule. Complete all patient documentation using the EPIC EMR system. Support staff including surgical PAs and techs will assist with case loads generating approximately 20 RVU/day. Credentialing is required within 45 to 60 days.
Required Qualifications
- Board Certification in General Surgery
- Prescriptive Authority
- Ability to perform general surgery procedures
- Ability to manage surgical consultations
- Ability to maintain continuous availability for scheduled and emergent surgical needs
- Ability to adhere to a 1:4 call ratio schedule
- Ability to complete patient documentation using the EPIC EMR system
- 24-Hour Call coverage capability
- Emergency privileges
