Job Summary
Prepare meals, serve food and beverages, and assist residents with eating in accordance with designated procedures. Clean dietary equipment, reset tables, sanitize kitchen areas, and manage laundry and waste disposal. Store food products, replenish supplies, and report equipment issues to the Site Administrator. Follow infection control procedures, maintain open communication, and participate in team meetings and quality improvement activities. Work shifts including days, evenings, and weekends at Kingsland Terrace.
Required Qualifications
- twelve (12) calendar months
- Knowledgeable in the use of commercial laundry equipment
- Knowledgeable regarding the use of cleaning equipment and supplies
- Ability to read, write and comprehend English
- Mentally and physically able to perform duties as outlined including physical activities such as standing, walking, bending, stretching and lifting heavy objects
- Must be free of allergies or related conditions, which may be aggravated by work with detergents, soaps and chemicals regularly, used within the scope of the position
- Demonstrates effective communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Demonstrates concern and interest in providing quality care and service for residents
- Ability to function as an effective team member with other staff, residents, families, and the public
- Must be available for days, evenings and weekends
- Must be able to lift heavy objects
