Job Summary
Clean and disinfect Operating Rooms, isolation rooms, exam rooms, and public areas per established procedures. Empty soiled linen bags, stock clean patient linen and bathroom supplies, and maintain par levels for cleaning chemicals and equipment. Operate mops, vacuums, and other equipment to complete floor care projects, while removing trash, hazardous materials, and medical waste. Detect defective materials, mix chemicals per manufacturer instructions, and wear proper PPE. Work day shift 10a-630pm Monday through Friday with on-call weekday, weekend, and holiday responsibility.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to lift up to waist level, on occasion in excess of 50 pounds
- Visual acuity corrected to normal
- Hearing corrected to normal
- Ability to verbalize so that the average person can comprehend
- Ability to read and comprehend a manufacturer's label
- Ability to read, comprehend and execute written instructions in English
- Ability to understand and execute oral instructions
- Good interpersonal skills to interact favorably with patients, visitors and co-workers
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Day shift 10a-630p Monday -Friday with on-call weekday, weekend, and holiday responsibility
Desired Qualifications
- 1+ years of experience performing housekeeping duties in a medical or clinical setting
- High School Diploma or GED
