General Supervisor, Mill Operations

Job Summary
Oversee mill facility activities by supervising mill supervisors, conducting performance evaluations, and providing coaching on time management and leadership. Monitor employee adherence to safety regulations, quality standards, and standard operating procedures while resolving conflicts and managing shift schedules to meet production targets. Collaborate with maintenance teams to minimize downtime, assist in continuous improvement initiatives, and fill in for the Superintendent when required. Develop detailed understanding of process flow sheets including grinding, flotation, and refinery operations. Participate in discussions regarding larger scale projects for mill production enhancement.
Required Qualifications
- 5-8 years of related experience
- Minimum 3 years of experience in supervisory roles
- Self-starter who can anticipate needs and work independently with minimal supervision
- Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail, able to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, growing work environment
- The individual should have demonstrated a high level of energy, self motivation and strong organizational skills
- Excellent inter-personal skills together with an ability to facilitate commitment to a cooperative team effort
- Good communication skills, both orally and written with both internal and external contacts and the ability to work with all levels of the organization
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs
Desired Qualifications
- SAP experience considered an asset
