Job Summary
Lead day-to-day field operations for cast-in-place segmental bridge construction, managing travelers, form systems, and segment pours while executing work plans for sequencing, stressing, and geometry control. Coordinate with engineering, survey, and project management teams to maintain alignment, camber, and tolerances, overseeing post-tensioning, rebar, embeds, and formwork installation. Manage concrete placement operations including cycle times, curing, and quality control, ensuring compliance with project specifications, contract requirements, and governing standards like DOT and AASHTO. Identify and resolve field issues related to geometry control, segment alignment, and construction tolerances while driving safety, productivity, and quality through proactive leadership.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years of experience in heavy civil construction
- Direct experience in cast-in-place segmental bridge construction
- Strong understanding of segmental construction methods (balanced cantilever, travelers, post-tensioning systems)
- Experience managing geometry control, survey coordination, and camber adjustments
- Proven ability to lead crews and deliver complex bridge work safely and efficiently
- Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, and segmental shop drawings
- Strong communication and leadership skills
