Job Summary
The General Superintendent of Piping is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all piping field operations for multiple projects. This role provides strategic leadership to Superintendents, Foremen, and field crews, ensuring standards for safety, quality, productivity, and scheduling are met. Key responsibilities include direct supervision of field operations, compliance with OSHA regulations, participation in project planning, and effective communication between stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in piping construction, strong leadership skills, and the ability to manage multiple teams and projects.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in commercial or industrial piping construction
- Prior experience as a General Superintendent, Senior Superintendent, or equivalent senior field leadership role
- Strong background in carbon steel, stainless, copper, and specialty piping systems
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and field teams simultaneously
- Deep understanding of construction sequencing, labor productivity, and jobsite logistics
- Strong leadership, communication, and decision‐making skills
- Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, schedules, and labor projections
- OSHA 30 (preferred) or willingness to obtain
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel between job sites as required
