Job Summary
Provide strategic leadership for field operations across multiple commercial construction projects in the Western United States. Lead, mentor, and coach Superintendents and field personnel while fostering a culture focused on safety, accountability, and operational excellence. Collaborate with Project Managers to review schedules, sequencing, and manpower, conducting regular site visits to ensure projects remain on schedule, within budget, and meet quality standards. Foster strong relationships with owners, architects, subcontractors, and inspectors to drive compliance with OSHA regulations and continuous improvement initiatives. Travel throughout the region to support project teams as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years of progressive commercial construction experience
- Previous experience as a Senior Superintendent, General Superintendent, or similar field leadership role
- Extensive experience managing commercial renovations, tenant improvements, occupied renovations, and ground-up commercial construction
- Proven experience overseeing multiple Superintendents and concurrent commercial projects
- Strong understanding of commercial construction methods, sequencing, scheduling, quality control, and field operations
- Demonstrated success developing and mentoring high-performing field teams
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, schedules, and contracts
- Strong knowledge of building codes, OSHA regulations, and construction safety best practices
- Exceptional leadership, communication, organizational, and conflict resolution skills
- Strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities in fast-paced construction environments
- Ability to build trust with clients, subcontractors, and project teams
- Willingness to travel as project needs require
Desired Qualifications
- Proficiency with Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project, and Microsoft Office
- OSHA 30 certification
- Experience managing one or more of the following project types: Retail, Class A Office, Tenant Improvements, Industrial Facilities, Distribution Centers, Medical Office, Financial Institutions, Multifamily Renovations, Occupied Commercial Renovations
