Job Summary
Lead planning strategy and execution of store day-to-day operations across Non-Food, Online, and Customer departments to maximise availability, minimise waste and shrink, and ensure efficient, safe, and compliant Superstore/Centre runs. Collaborate with Operations Manager and department managers to deliver consistent standards, drive productivity, and improve delivery flow and stock routines. Coach leadership team on shopfloor standards, develop future talent, and foster a culture of empowerment where team members feel valued and trusted to solve challenges together. 45 hours per week. Contract type Permanent. Closing Date 15 September 2026. Competitive salary.
Required Qualifications
- Experience as General Store Manager or Operations Manager
- Leading diverse teams in a large-format retail environment
- Strong operational knowledge across food and non-food departments
- Track record of achieving consistent operational excellence
- Track record of improving availability
- Reducing waste
- Managing shrink
- Proven record of developing large teams
- Managing change through leadership
- Building resilience
- Experience managing complex ER cases
- Confidence in understanding HR policies and processes
- Strong organisational skills
