Job Summary
General Sonographer role within Northwestern Medicine on a part-time night shift. Responsibilities include reviewing patient history and physician orders, evaluating ultrasound requests, performing diagnostic ultrasound examinations with appropriate imaging parameters, positioning and transporting patients, educating patients pre- and post-procedure, documenting results in PACS with proper accession numbers, adhering to infection control and sterile techniques, performing basic equipment maintenance and QC, monitoring patient status during procedures, providing supervision/clinical instruction to students, and supporting quality improvement initiatives.
