Job Summary
Supervise and coordinate all construction activities for 81 harbour estate condos, 42 heritage lofts, and a 9-storey tower in St. Catharines, Ontario, while coaching Assistant Superintendents, Coordinators, and Foremen. Manage project procurement for materials and labour, prepare proposals based on site assessments and specifications, and ensure workmanship meets quality standards and design requirements. Conform to the 24-month schedule, organize team meetings, and resolve potential problems, work interferences, or schedule difficulties by advising senior management and anticipating conflicts. Assist in obtaining information from engineers, designers, inspectors, and municipal authorities, and work with Managers and the Owner on invoicing. Requires 15+ years of experience with residential and industrial/commercial projects.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 15+ years of experience as Superintendent
- University or College Degree in related curriculum or equivalent professional experience
- Strong experience with Residential and ICI projects (new builds, renos, retrofits, etc.)
Desired Qualifications
- Work experience with a local General Contractor is an asset
- Proficiency with MS Office and Windows based computer applications (Word, Excel, Outlook and Project
