Job Summary
Assess needs for facility upgrades and repairs across DCWP locations by providing detailed plans with quotes, timelines, and cost estimates. Conduct daily on-site inspections of contracted cleaning services and make light to moderate repairs as necessary. Monitor and maintain supplies including first aid kits, fire extinguisters, and alarm systems while coordinating mailing requests and fleet assistance. Work with vendors on building system upgrades such as HVAC, garbage removal, painting, snow removal, and landscaping. Manage warehouse inventory, coordinate item transportation, organize the supply room, and process decommissioning for surplus equipment. Perform ad hoc assignments supporting other functional units as requested.
Required Qualifications
- Only permanent employees in the civil service title, comparable title (under 6.1.9), eligible for the 55a program, and those that are reachable in the civil service list
- A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university
- Five years of full-time paid experience requiring general knowledge of construction and construction costs, electronic data processing equipment, telephone communications systems, building standards and leasing procedures, in the evaluation and layout of space in office buildings, garages and other structures used for commercial and industrial purposes
- At least two years of which shall have been of a supervisory nature
- High school graduation or evidence of having passed an examination for a high school equivalency diploma or the U.S. Armed Forces G.E.D. certificate with a score of at least 35 on each of the five tests and an overall score of at least 225 in the examination for the diploma or certificate
- Nine years of full-time paid experience as described in (1) above
- All candidates must be high school graduates or possess the equivalent as described in (2) above
- Must have at least two years of supervisory experience as described in (1) above
