Job Summary
General Service Technician in Torrance, CA. You’ll begin in an entry-level role to service guests’ vehicles and gain certification through our training program. Responsibilities include promoting teamwork, delivering clear guest communication and feedback about vehicles, keeping the service center clean and presentable, guiding and mentoring junior technicians, checking oil levels and tire pressure, inspecting and refilling fluids, installing a new oil drain plug and oil filter, documenting all work on the repair order, reporting safety issues, adhering to vehicle-care policies, performing manual tasks including lifting up to 50 pounds, and being able to work in varying temperatures and loud environments. This role requires relevant customer-facing experience, the ability to read safety documents, strong communication, reliability, and a willingness to work weekends/holidays. Required Qualifications
- Must have at least 3 months of customer facing experience (i.e. retail, food service, hospitality, etc.)
- Must be at least 18 years of age and legally authorized to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship, now or in the future
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals
- Effective communication skills to interact with guests and teammates
- Demonstrates responsibility, attention to detail, and the ability to follow procedures, identify problems, and make sound decisions
- Physically able to stand for extended periods on hard surfaces, lift up to 50 pounds, and perform manual tasks including bending and squatting
- Willingness to work in varying temperatures, loud environments, and around exhaust fumes
- Availability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and some holidays
