Job Summary
General Service Technician (GST) at Team Car Care / Jiffy Lube in Lawrence, KS. Entry-level role focusing on professionally servicing guests' vehicles to ensure top-notch quality and guest experience. Through the company’s training program, you will receive certification and develop expertise in all services offered, supporting teamwork, clear guest communication, and maintaining a clean service center. Responsibilities include oil level and tire pressure checks, inspecting and refilling fluids, documenting work on repair orders, reporting safety issues, assisting junior technicians, and performing manual tasks including lifting and being exposed to varying temperatures and exhaust fumes. Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and some holidays; 18+ and legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship. Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age and legally authorized to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship
- Must have at least 3 months of customer facing experience (i.e. retail, food service, hospitality, etc.)
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals
- Effective communication skills to interact with guests and teammates
- Physically able to stand for extended periods on hard surfaces, lift up to 50 pounds, and perform manual tasks including bending and squatting
- Willingness to work in varying temperatures, loud environments, and around exhaust fumes
- Availability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and some holidays
- Demonstrates responsibility, attention to detail, and the ability to follow procedures, identify problems, and make sound decisions
- Commitment to adhering to all safety protocols and company policies
