Job Summary
The General Service Technician performs quality automotive maintenance and vehicle care duties, including oil and oil filter changes, tire care (installation, repair, rotation), fluid top-offs, engine inspection, and basic vehicle checks. Responsibilities emphasize safe, organized work area maintenance, professional conduct representing the company, and building positive relationships with customers and coworkers. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent, valid driver’s license, willingness to undergo drug/background checks, able to work Saturdays/Sundays, and comfort working in a team environment with a customer-focused service mindset. Experience in basic car care is helpful but not required, with the role supporting ongoing service excellence across Express Oil Change & Tire Engineers’ multi-location footprint.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
- One year or more years of experience in basic car care helpful but not necessary
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test and background screen
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Top-notch customer service skills with a desire to build long term trust and relationships with customers
- Willingness to work Saturdays and/or Sundays
