Job Summary
General Service Technician (GST) role in a fast-paced auto service environment. Entry-level position with a structured training program leading to certification. Responsibilities include professionally servicing guest vehicles, maintaining a clean and safe service center, coordinating with teammates to deliver on-time and accurate guest care, communicating clearly with guests and team members, guiding junior technicians, inspecting vehicles, and performing routine maintenance tasks (oil changes, tire checks, fluid level checks, etc.). Must be able to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and work in varying temperatures; requires strong communication, teamwork, and adherence to safety policies. Required Qualifications
- Must have at least 3 months of customer facing experience (i.e. retail, food service, hospitality, etc.)
- Must be at least 18 years of age and legally authorized to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals
- Effective communication skills to interact with guests and teammates
- Strong work ethic with a positive attitude; independently motivated, dependable, and a team player
- Demonstrates responsibility, attention to detail, and the ability to follow procedures, identify problems, and make sound decisions
- Physically able to stand for extended periods on hard surfaces, lift up to 50 pounds, and perform manual tasks including bending and squatting
- Willingness to work in varying temperatures, loud environments, and around exhaust fumes
- Availability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and some holidays
