Job Summary
Entry-level General Service Technician role at a Jiffy Lube location in Las Vegas, NV. Responsible for professionally servicing guest vehicles, performing oil changes and fluid checks, inspecting and refilling fluids, tire pressure checks, and assisting with vehicle inspections. Training program provides certification and automotive service expertise, with emphasis on teamwork, clear guest communication, maintaining a clean service center, mentoring junior technicians, and following safety and company policies. Requires strong customer-service orientation, ability to read operating instructions, physical ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds, and availability for a flexible schedule.
Required Qualifications
- Must have at least 3 months of customer facing experience (i.e. retail, food service, hospitality, etc.)
- Must be at least 18 years of age and legally authorized to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship, now or in the future
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals
- Effective communication skills to interact with guests and teammates.
- Strong work ethic with a positive attitude; independently motivated, dependable, and a team player
- Demonstrates responsibility, attention to detail, and the ability to follow procedures, identify problems, and make sound decisions
- Physically able to stand for extended periods on hard surfaces, lift up to 50 pounds, and perform manual tasks including bending and squatting
- Willingness to work in varying temperatures, loud environments, and around exhaust fumes
- Availability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and some holidays
- Commitment to adhering to all safety protocols and company policies.
