Job Summary
General Service Technician role at a service center, focusing on professionally servicing guests' vehicles, delivering quality work, and ensuring a positive guest experience. Responsibilities include teamwork to deliver timely and accurate guest care, clear communication with guests and teammates, maintaining a clean service area, mentoring junior staff, verifying oil levels and tire pressures, inspecting and replenishing fluids, performing oil changes and installations, and documenting work on repair orders while adhering to safety protocols. Requires strong communication, reliability, physical stamina to handle lifting and long periods of standing, and flexibility to work weekends/holidays in a fast-paced automotive environment.
Required Qualifications
- Must have at least 3 months of customer facing experience (e.g. retail, food service, hospitality, etc.)
- Must be at least 18 years of age and legally authorized to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship, now or in the future
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals
- Effective communication skills to interact with guests and teammates
- Strong work ethic with a positive attitude; independently motivated, dependable, and a team player
- Demonstrates responsibility, attention to detail, and the ability to follow procedures, identify problems, and make sound decisions
- Physically able to stand for extended periods on hard surfaces, lift up to 50 pounds, and perform manual tasks including bending and squatting
- Willingness to work in varying temperatures, loud environments, and around exhaust fumes
- Availability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and some holidays
