Job Summary
General Service Technician at MFA Petroleum/Big O Tires in Hollister, MO. Responsibilities include draining and changing oil, oil-filter replacement, lubricating vehicles, installing/rotating/balancing tires, inspecting and disposing tires, stocking shelves and maintaining store appearance, greeting customers, promoting sales by explaining benefits of services and products, executing company sales policies (pricing, promotions, upselling), and assisting in training new employees. Must safely operate customer vehicles, comply with PPE and safety standards, and complete required training. Requires valid driver’s license, legal work authorization in the U.S., ability to lift up to 75 pounds, and availability for holidays/weekends. Preferred: high school diploma or GED; strong verbal communication; ability to work in a team and at a fast pace; sales abilities.
Required Qualifications
- 17 years of age (with parental consent) or older
- Legal authorization to work in the United States of America
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to learn new concepts and use technical materials
- Ability to operate a computer and other office productivity machinery
- Ability to safely operate automatic and manual transmission vehicles
- Ability to exchange accurate information with customers
- Ability to work with hazardous materials
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Ability to comply with Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) regulations
- Ability to move and position self to retrieve products and supplies weighing up to 75 pounds
- Availability to work holidays, weekends, and after regular business hours as needed
- Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English
- Successful completion of pre-employment screenings
- High school diploma or GED equivalent (preferred)
- Strong verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team
- Ability to work at a fast pace
