Job Summary
General Service Technician at MFA Petroleum/Big O Tires in Lake Ozark, MO.Responsibilities include draining/changing oil and oil filter; lubricating vehicles; installing, rotating, balancing tires; checking and filling fluids; replacing filters and lights; unloading tires and merchandise; inspecting tires; maintaining store cleanliness; providing fast, friendly customer service; promoting sales and performing sales duties per company policy (pricing, promotions, upsell, vendor check-in, stocking merchandise); maintaining store appearance per Big O Tires standards; safely operating customer vehicles; completing required trainings; communicating maintenance issues to supervisor; assisting in training new employees. Requirements include age 17+ (with parental consent) or older, valid driver’s license, ability to work outdoors and with PPE, ability to lift up to 75 pounds, ability to pass pre-employment screenings, legal work authorization in the US, and ability to obtain a Missouri MVIP license within 6 months. Preferred: high school diploma or GED, strong verbal communication, teamwork, ability to work fast-paced, and sales abilities. Required Qualifications
- 17 years of age (with parental consent) or older
- Ability to learn new concepts and use technical materials
- Ability to consistently operate a computer and other office productivity machinery
- Ability to safely operate automatic and manual transmission vehicles
- Ability to exchange accurate information with customers
- Ability and willingness to work with hazardous materials
- Ability to consistently work in outdoor weather conditions
- Ability and willingness to comply with Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) regulations
- Valid driver’s license
- Vision, hearing, speech, and the ability to detect odors
- Ability to move and position self to move and retrieve product and supplies from shelves, under counters, or stacks of inventory weighing up to 75 pounds
- Availability to work holidays, weekends, and after regular business hours as needed
- Ability to speak, read, write, and understand the English language to communicate accurately and effectively with customers, coworkers, and supervisors.
- Ability to meet company requirements including successful pre-employment screenings
- Legal authorization to work in the United States of America
- Ability to obtain Current Motor Vehicle Inspection license within 6 months of eligibility (for Missouri based stores)
