General Repair Technician III - Roving

Job Summary
Technician III-Roving at BGIS is responsible for operating the facility including mechanical and electrical systems, conducting inspections, and performing preventive and corrective maintenance to ensure uptime and asset integrity. The technician troubleshoots conditions, maintains facility systems, manages work orders from dispatch to completion, supports PM programs, and helps maintain positive client relations. Requires a high school diploma with trades training or licensing and a minimum of 3 years’ experience in HVAC or related systems; candidates should understand BAS/HVAC, electrical and mechanical building systems, and be prepared for shifts, on-call duties, and potential security clearance. Also must have a valid driver's license and comply with health, safety, and PPE policies.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma plus trades training and/or certification or licensing
- Minimum 3 years experience providing preventive and corrective maintenance on heating ventilation and air conditions systems, or pneumatic or hydraulic systems
- Knowledge and understanding of Building Automation Systems (BAS) & HVAC Systems
- Knowledge and understanding of HVAC Systems
- Effective communication skills for data relay, exchange, feedback, and clarification
- Mentoring skills required to support lower level technician’s development
- Must be able and willing to work shifts, be available for on-call/standby and emergency call-outs as they arise
- Must strictly adhere to Health and Safety policies including wearing required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- Must be capable of obtaining appropriate security clearance
- Hold a valid driver's license
