Job Summary
Conduct facility walkthroughs to monitor mechanical, electrical, and other equipment systems, then perform regular inspections, preventative maintenance, and corrective repairs on HVAC and supporting systems. Troubleshoot equipment conditions and deficiencies while managing the full work order life cycle from dispatch to completion, recording resolution data in the service maintenance database. Respond to routine and on-demand service requests to ensure uninterrupted client operation and asset integrity, assisting in the implementation of the preventative maintenance program. Adhere strictly to environmental, health, and safety policies and PPE requirements. Maintain assigned tools and submit expenditures timely. Available for shifts, on-call/standby, and emergency call-outs.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma plus trades training and/or certification or licensing
- Minimum 3 years experience providing preventive and corrective maintenance on heating ventilation and air conditions systems, or pneumatic or hydraulic systems
- Sound knowledge of processes and practices relating to facility operations and maintenance
- Demonstrated ability to maintain, troubleshoot and repair (as per applicable qualifications) mechanical and other building systems and equipment
- Possesses a strong environmental, health, and safety mindset
- Strong client-service orientation along with a high sense of urgency
- Knowledge and understanding of Building Automation Systems (BAS)
- Knowledge and understanding of HVAC Systems
- Effective communication skills for the purpose of data relay, exchange, feedback, and clarification
- Mentoring skills required to support lower level technician's development
- Must be able and willing to work shifts, be available for on-call/standby and emergency call-outs as they arise
- Must strictly adhere to Health and Safety policies including wearing required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- Must be capable of obtaining appropriate security clearance
- Building Operator Certification or equivalent through an accredited institution
