Job Summary
Use hand tools, knives, or equipment to prepare meat according to safety, food safety, and quantity specifications for further processing or packaging. Perform tasks in varied temperatures and conditions, including working around animal blood and unpleasant odors, while complying with all food safety policies and regulations. Maintain a strong safety culture by identifying hazards and correcting unsafe actions. Stand on hard surfaces or elevated platforms the entire shift, utilizing stairs, steps, ladders, or platforms as needed. Work in a culturally diverse environment with extended hours Monday through Saturday, including overtime when necessary. Complete required training in safety, SQF, GMPs, HACCP, SOPs, and food defense.
Required Qualifications
- 18 years of age or older
- Must be able to work in the United States without sponsorship
- 6 months consecutive employment in the last year
- Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily with or without reasonable accommodations
- Willing and able to work extended hours Monday through Saturday and overtime when necessary
- Must be able to successfully complete training: Safety
- Must be able to successfully complete training: Safe Quality Food (SQF)
- Must be able to successfully complete training: Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)
- Must be able to successfully complete training: Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP)
- Must be able to successfully complete training: Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Must be able to successfully complete training: Food defense
