Job Summary
The role involves transporting racks on smokehouse racks to the drencher and transporting them to the smokehouse staging area; lifting up to 40 pounds eye level and above; pushing heavy racks (up to 500 pounds); scaling, measuring, and recording information for Quality Control; setting up and removing machines and cleaning metal detectors; entering data into the computer; assisting with housekeeping and completing required paperwork. The position requires ability to perform basic math, read daily paperwork, work overtime/weekends, and obtain a Class II power tow motor certification. Candidates must meet physical requirements including standing, walking, bending, and handling cold/wet environments for up to 10 hours and comply with GMP, SQF, and safety guidelines. Required Qualifications
- Ability to perform basic math functions (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
- Ability and willingness to work overtime and/or weekends as needed
- Ability and willingness to obtain a Class II power tow motor certification
- Ability and willingness to read and comprehend required daily paperwork, labels, and computer work
- Ability and willingness to complete all paperwork and SAP functions and computer functions
- Physical ability to perform job with or without reasonable accommodation
- Ability and willingness to push/pull/lift 40 pounds or greater frequently
- Ability and willingness to stand/walk/climb/bend for up to 10 hours
- Ability and willingness to work in wet conditions and cold temperatures at 35 degrees
- Compliance with safety, food safety, GMP and SQF requirements
- Participation in all job rotations as needed
