Job Summary
Two to three experienced General Practitioners are sought to provide patient-centred primary health care to a diverse student population at the University of Auckland. You will work within a multidisciplinary team to deliver skilled health assessment, diagnosis, and treatment, support physical and mental wellbeing, coordinate referrals and follow-up, contribute to preventative health initiatives (screenings, vaccinations, education), provide travel health advice, and assist with academic health advocacy. The role offers a flexible hours arrangement (permanent positions, with options for part-time or full-time) and a competitive salary. You will be registered as a medical practitioner in NZ with NZMC Practising Certificate and indemnity insurance; fellowship of RNZCGP is expected, along with at least two years’ GP experience, CPR or ALS certification, and experience working in university/student-focused health services is advantageous.
Required Qualifications
- Registration as a medical practitioner in New Zealand with a current NZMC Practising Certificate and indemnity insurance
- Fellowship of the Royal New Zealand College of General Practitioners
- At least two years’ experience in General Practice
- Current CPR or Advanced Life Support certification
- Experience working in a multidisciplinary healthcare environment
- Proven experience working with young adults and diverse communities
- Confidence using clinical systems such as MedTech or similar practice management software
