Job Summary
General Practitioner wanted to provide full-scope primary care to patients of all ages in Upper Hutt, Wellington Region. Join a multidisciplinary teaching practice with 14 consulting rooms and a full support staff. Responsibilities include providing comprehensive primary care, participating in the afterhours roster, collaborating with nurse prescribers and in-house clinics, supervising and contributing to teaching for registrars and students, maintaining accurate Medtech Evolution EMR records, and engaging in ongoing professional development and quality improvement. Requirements include medical degree with vocational registration or NZ eligibility, GP certification (FRNZCGP or equivalent such as MRCGP/MICGP/RACGP/CCFP), strong interpersonal and clinical decision-making skills, and willingness to participate in after-hours roster. Relocation reimbursement, CME allowance, indemnity insurance, and 5 weeks annual leave are offered. International candidates considered with relocation support.
Required Qualifications
- Medical degree with vocational registration or eligibility in New Zealand
- GP certification (e.g., FRNZCGP) or eligibility via comparable pathway such as MRCGP, MICGP, RACGP, CCFP
- Strong interpersonal and clinical decision-making skills
- Willingness to participate in after-hours roster
- Interest in teaching, community health, or chronic disease management is welcomed
